Chris, I found several of the original photos used for my Red Wing set. Please email me again and I will send you some scans. I found the "Silver Stadium" picture. This was the wrong picture the Red Wings gave me the day before I had to print. It is Ken Boyer batting in St. Louis. I cropped his name off the picture as well as the second deck and you have Silver Stadium. Only two people now have noticed the mistake without me telling them. I am so pleased you have so completely documented this set I published. It is great to visit this site and see what people have to say.

Just found this website and it is awesome, I was 15 and was able to befriend many of the players shown. I just played golf with Bobby Bonner a few months ago and he is back in Zambia as a missionary again. Would love to chat with you offline. Please send a contact not to my email, I would appreciate it very much

In 1980 I was 13 years old and collecting Topps baseball cards. Being from Northern California my favorite player was Rickey Henderson and I was chasing his rookie card in the 1980 Topps set. I wish I would have found a way to get that Ripken minor league card back then. Ripken was another one of my favorite ball players as I seen him play at the Oakland Coliseum against the A's many times in the mid 80's to mid 90's.

I have a wtf rochester redwings 1981 set (ripken jr) Its not fake, its on yellowish-white paper and you can see the flag in the background. The set was purchased from Martins Sport Shop in Monroe, WI for my birthday in the early 80's. I was wondering the value of the set? Where I can get it rated and authenicated? Best place to fing potential buyers for this set? Hope you can help.

Awesome site! I was also a kid who got a set that night. I even grabbed a second set that's still unopened.. Great times watching the Charlotte O's play, back in the day..

I would like to comment on the guy who said there were more than 1800 sets of the WTF set produced and more than 50 uncut sheets. I do not know where he is getting his information but I published the set and those are the numbers. There is some confusion as in a couple of interviews I had the number of sets wrong. i remembered 3000 sets. However i found the receipt from the printer and it states 1800 sets and 50 uncut sheets. Whatever other information is out there is incorrect. and these are the correct numbers. Happy to talk to anyone about this. thanks for the great site. Steve Kozel
